By the decree of the Honorable President of Iran University of Science and Technology, Dr. Mahmood Mehrdad Shokrieh, Dr. Reza Saadati, a member of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, has been appointed as the Vice Dean for Research of the School.

The School of Mathematics and Computer Science warmly congratulates Dr. Saadati on this well-deserved appointment and wishes him continued success in advancing the School’s scientific and research objectives.

With deep sorrow and regret, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of the distinguished professor and esteemed senior member of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, Professor Dr. HamidAgha Tolaei, to the academic community of the university, respected colleagues, students, and his honorable family.
As one of the scientific pillars of the school, Dr. HamidAgha Tolaei, through many years of exemplary dedication and expertise, played a vital role in advancing the academic standing of the school and in nurturing successive generations of graduates in this land. His invaluable scientific and educational contributions remain a lasting and precious legacy for the university community.
On behalf of the school members and staff of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, I extend my deepest condolences for this irreparable loss to the academic community of the country, and especially to his esteemed family. The in-person interview for PhD applicants in fields related to the School of Mathematics and Computer Science was held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, starting at 8:30 AM at the school premises.

The session was conducted with the participation of the respected school members and PhD candidates.

According to previous announcements, applicants in the field of Applied Mathematics were evaluated collectively, regardless of specific research orientations.

Candidates presented the required documents, including their Dissertation, research background, and national ID card.
The interview process was conducted with full organizational order and in adherence to academic and procedural standards.

The Interfaculty Handball Tournament at Iran University of Science and Technology was held with the participation of three teams from the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and the School of Materials Engineering.

The final match took place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Malekloo Sports Hall.
